Victorian Europe is a time when young people almost never had a choice. Parents themselves selected those with whom their child will connect their lives. So it happened with Victor. His family is rich. Van Dort - famous slave traders. But Victor’s parents are not enough for happiness one thing - position in society. Therefore, the older generation of Van Dortov decides to tie the son of marriage with Victoria Everglot.
This family, although on the verge of ruin, has a high position in society and aristocratic roots. But the children of two families are smiling luck. From the first meeting, they understand that they are made for each other.
During the rehearsal of the wedding, Victor, nervous, escapes into the forest. There he aloud swears an oath and puts a ring on a twig. Unfortunately, Emily’s finger is a twig. She is a dead bride who vowed to find true love. Having woken up from a dream, the girl drags Victor into his world.

Emily slept for a long time, but Victor's oath woke her. So the girl realized that she had finally found her love. But a marriage made in the world of the living is not valid. And Victor agrees to marry Emily by all the rules of the afterlife. However, Emily, seeing that Victor is in love with Victoria, releases the young man.
